Kuhlenkamp - Momentum Builder, Founder
Prior to starting Build-Momentum, LLC, Edward was
president of The DAC Group, one of the largest agencies
specializing in directory advertising and national Yellow
Page programs. His responsibilities included managing all
aspects of the New York office, which had been acquired
from Ogilvy, a WPP company. He has over 10 years of
experience in the areas of operations management,
marketing, institutional sales and investor relations.
Prior to DAC Group he was the head of operations and
general manager for Physicians’ Online (POL), a physician-
only Web site owned by Mediconsult. POL had over
217,000 physicians as members and over $5.5 million in
revenues. Edward developed the POL restructuring plan
and implemented it. The first stage of the plan eliminated
over $4 million in annual expenses. Concurrent with
eliminating costs, Mr. Kuhlenkamp developed a realistic
business model, focused the POL product offerings and started
rebuilding employee morale. Edward joined Mediconsult as
vice president of investor relations in January 2000.

Worldwide, the largest privately owned public relations firm (over $200 million
in revenues). Mr. Kuhlenkamp was responsible for managing Edelman’s
financial communications group (over $5 million in annual revenues). In addition,
he built Edelman’s quantitative, investor relations research and investor
targeting systems. He also served as a senior advisor to a number of
clients on strategic communications and investor relation's issues. His
clients included Expedia, Lifeminders, Juno Online, Barnes&Noble.com,
MediaMetrix, DLJ Direct, Shire Pharmaceuticals, Orthofix and Crown Cork &
Seal.
Prior to that, Mr. Kuhlenkamp was a managing director at Georgeson & Company,
where he was responsible for overseeing the investor relations division ($12.5
revenues, 120 people). Mr. Kuhlenkamp advised clients on strategic investor
relations matters, including mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds, restructurings,
and IPO’s. Edward developed a group, within Georgeson & Company,
dedicated to analyzing how changing investor patterns impact valuation and
corporate strategy. This group also developed models and systems to
assist clients in identifying possible investors and sellers of their securities.
Before joining Georgeson & Company, Mr. Kuhlenkamp was a partner at The
Carson Group. His responsibilities included institutional sales, marketing
and advertising, as well as developing analytical database systems.
Edward has a B.S. in Psychology from Stony Brook University and a M.S. in
Management Engineering from C.W. Post, Long Island University. He is
a member of the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) and has been a member
of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and the Turnaround Management
Association (TMA). Ed is also interim chairman of the North Carolina Motorsports
